Fatemeh Torabi

Fatemeh Torabi is currently a PhD student in the Smart Public Transport Lab, Department of Transport and Planning at TU Delft. She conducts her PhD research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Serge hoogendoorn and Dr. Niels van Oort.

She has a background in urban planning and design with specialisations in built environment, social and spatial impacts, and Transit Oriented Development. Her PhD research is focused on TOD and node value of future intermodal hubs including future modes.

She did her Master in Urbanism from TU Delft and Bachelor in Architecture from Tehran University (Iran). During her Master, she worked in the field of segregation, regeneration and TOD in Tehran metropolitan. Her thesis is titled ‘Historic Religious Identity, Ray Urban Dignity: Searching Planning perspective at the neglected historic religious district to revive the local quality as a promoter of urban cohesion in different scales’.
