Integration of Park & Ride into an existing PT network - Nejc Geržinič commenting in a Slovenian newspaper

Park-and-ride (P&R) facilities have been built as a measure to reduce congestion and car use for several decades, but is their contribution really positive? Recent studies suggest that P&R, especially if not applied correctly, can lead to an increase in vehicle kilometres travelled and worsening of congestion. In a recent publication in a Slovenian national newspaper, PhD candidate Nejc Geržinič discusses a proposed P&R in the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia, regarding its integration into the public transport system.
